ACS Athens hosted yet another successful Leadership Workshop, on Friday, January 24.

The 3-hour workshop, which was organized by the Student Life department, introduced Middle School and Academy students to leadership and also worked on the practicalities of what this means within the ACS Athens school community.

According to Ms. Dora Panteli,  Student Life Officer, "We know that the best way to impact effectively, not only our school community but society in general, is to focus on developing leadership among our students. Because there is almost no limit to the potential that young students have when they are raised up to be leaders in their community and continually develop and practice  their skills within a supportive system."

Furthermore, Mr. Bobby Zervas, Middle School Student Council Advisor stated that "The Leadership Workshop was a great opportunity for students to learn what qualities and actions make up a strong leader through reflection and team-building exercises. These activities created a stronger bond between student council members to grow from each other and shape the ACS Community."

What did ACS Athens students think of the Leadership Workshop?

Kaya McGrath Ketter, ACS Athens 9th grade student believes that "The workshop was extremely intriguing and now I believe I can be a better leader for myself and for everyone else. The experience in the workshop led me to find out who I am as a person and more importantly who I am as a leader."

Jason Stavropoulos, ACS Athens Senior student feels that "The workshop was an eye-opening experience for me, as it allowed me to reflect on my strengths as well as my weaknesses. It enabled me to further enhance my understanding of leadership and made me understand how much more effective it is to work in teams rather than individually."

Thank you to everyone who made this workshop an ACS Athens successful event!
