On Wednesday, December 18th, the 8th-grade class of ACS Athens visited the Hadjipaterion Center for the Rehabilitation and Support of the Child.

The Hadjipaterion Center promotes independence, inclusion, and socialization of children with cerebral palsy.

The 8th-grade students of ACS Athens attended their Christmas party and the Student Council handed out the gifts that ACS students bought for each specific child as a donation to the Center.

This trip was the first part of the service-learning experience of the 8th-grade class of ACS Athens, as it links to the UN Sustainable Development Goals that students are exploring, focusing on the topics of equity.

Specifically, the UN Sustainable Development Goals that are addressed are Good Health and Wellbeing, Quality Education and Reduced Inequalities.

As Mr. Hadjipateras stated in his speech, "ACS Athens and the Hadjipaterion Center share a long and very special relationship", assuring the ACS Athens students that their support and assistance to Santa will put lots of smiles on lots of faces.
