Approximately 50 people gathered in the Learning Commons at ACS Athens on Saturday, March 9 2019, to celebrate the "Two Years Together" of the Youth to Youth Educational and Social Integration programs, a collaborative project of ACS Athens and The HOME Project Organization. Unaccompanied refugee minors, HOME Project professionals, ACS Athens faculty, staff, administrators, and volunteer students in a circle of love, reflected on how the Youth to Youth program has impacted their lives.

Youth to Youth students, theunaccompanied minors from the shelters of The HOME Project Organization, took the lead in sharing how the program has transformed their lives. They encouraged the newcomers to strive for their dreams, to work hard, to trust their teachers, their ACS Athens volunteer students and to grow as global citizens in the welcoming and loving ACS Athens community.

ACS Athens volunteer students expressed their gratitude in participating in this program. They are also thankful for the opportunity to learn from friends of so many different countries and cultures and for actively engaging in the learning process in their roles as teaching assistants.

And we, the adults, learn every minute we spend with our students, ACS Athens and Youth to Youth, the value of love and respect in shaping young minds to become caring and responsible individuals.
