On Thursday, February 20, 2020, Panathinaikos Guard Jimmer Fredette visited ACS Athens to offer the Youth to Youth students a lesson in tenacity and character.

During his visit, Jimmer Fredette described to the students how, when he was 15 and despite the challenges he faced, he set a goal to one day play basketball for the NBA.

He explained how, by working hard and overcoming many obstacles, he was able to achieve his goal.

After his talk, Jimmer Fredette spent time with the Y2Y students, signing autographs and shooting hoops with them and faculty members which all enjoyed immensely.

As Ms. Tokatlidou, Dean of Academics, noted: "Y2Y is an educational and social integration program and we are more than happy whenever we have the opportunity to welcome distinguished people like Jimmer Fredette who inspire and motivate our Y2Y students".

Thank you for your visit Jimmer Fredette, and for being an inspiring athlete to the Y2Y students of ACS Athens!
