On a delicious and educational field trip, our second-grade students took part in a fun and flavorful activity: making their own pizzas! This outing followed a classroom unit on nutrition and kitchen safety, giving students a chance to put their knowledge into practice in a hands-on environment.

Students selected their ingredients with care, making healthy choices while also learning about food prep, teamwork, and safe kitchen habits. The smiles on their faces—and the pizzas on their plates—said it all.

This joyful experience is a wonderful example of how experiential learning at ACS Athens helps young students connect classroom concepts to real-world experiences in memorable ways.
