On Thursday, May 8th, the ACS Athens PTO hosted a memorable excursion for parents to one of Athens’ most iconic archaeological sites—the Ancient Agora. Participants were welcomed by our expert guide, Nadia Pavlikaki, whose deep knowledge and passion for history brought ancient Athens vividly to life.

The Agora, once the bustling center of political, commercial, and social life in classical Athens, offered our group a rich glimpse into the origins of Democracy and Philosophy. With Nadia’s insightful narration, we explored the Temple of Hephaestus, one of the best-preserved ancient temples in all of Greece, and walked through the impressive Stoa of Attalos, a beautifully reconstructed portico that once served as the heart of civic activity.

Parents enjoyed engaging conversations, stunning views of the Acropolis, and a deeper appreciation for the cultural and intellectual achievements of ancient Athens. It was more than just a tour—it was a walk through time, connecting us to the foundations of Western civilization.

The PTO would like to extend a warm thank you to all the parents who joined us on this special outing. Your presence and enthusiasm continue to enrich our school community and make events like this one possible.

We look forward to our next cultural adventure together!
