On Wednesday, March 19th, the ACS Athens PTO had the pleasure of organizing a memorable cultural outing for parents to the Museum of Cycladic Art for the groundbreaking exhibition “Kykladitisses: Untold Stories of Women in the Cyclades.”

This unique exhibition—the first pan-Cycladic display ever organized—offered a fascinating journey through the history of the Cycladic islands, as seen through the eyes of women. With over 180 rare and precious objects, many of which were on public display for the first time, the exhibition brought to light the essential roles women played in Cycladic society from the Neolithic era all the way through the 19th century.

Parents enjoyed a rich cultural experience, exploring beautifully curated artifacts that illustrated how women lived, worked, and shaped the communities of the Archipelago. The excursion sparked meaningful conversations and deepened our appreciation for the often-overlooked narratives of the past.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the ACS Athens community—to the parents who joined us, the school staff who supported our planning, and everyone who continues to enrich our PTO initiatives with their enthusiasm and engagement. Your support makes these experiences not only possible but truly memorable.

Stay tuned for more inspiring excursions ahead!
