"Mentors and Mentees step up the game and celebrate successes virtually! 

To ensure that distancing does not mean social disconnection, the Professional Development (PD) team (Justin, Evi, Andromachi) invited Mentors and Mentees to participate in this year’s “New colleagues Program” to a "Goodbye 2020 New Colleagues Program Happy Hour Extravaganza Meeting". 

Using the newly introduced (thank you Labrini!) Wooclap we uncovered and embraced the unique opportunities of virtual collaboration. 

The goals of the meeting were: 

• To share success stories from the first half of the school year (both face-to-face and virtually)
• To address challenges that have come up so far this year and discuss how the program can further support mentors and mentees
• To look ahead at what is to come in 2021

The feedback received was very positive and demonstrated that the power of mentoring relationships is vital, now more than ever!

We listened to joyful holiday music, we shared our experiences, laughed, had some fun and claps but most of all, we made our New Year's Resolutions!

We continue to facilitate mentoring relationships and empower individuals as architects of their own learning.
