From Annie Constantinides, ACS Athens Director of Athletics

With the present technology, it is very easy to communicate with people wherever they are. Zoom meetings, facetime calls, Microsoft teams, and many platforms are available for individuals to connect. While this makes communication more accessible, there is no replacement for connecting face-to-face whenever possible.

With this in mind, for many years I have taken the time to visit higher education institutions in order to introduce ACS Athens and its students; particularly the student-athletes that have the aspiration and potential to pursue their studies and sport in universities. Due to Covid-19, there was a short break, but the visits recently resumed.

This past week, meetings were held at Northeastern University, Boston University, Tufts University, Bentley University, Brown University, and Harvard University! I had the opportunity to introduce ACS Athens to coaches and athletics staff members and, at the same time, talk about our student-athletes. Great interest was expressed by everyone, as they, too, are looking to recruit and admit international student-athletes.

Such trips allow me to also connect with ACS Athens alumni who are presently attending universities. It is such a joy to meet them and talk about their university life and at the same time reminisce about their time at ACS Athens.
