ACS Athens faculty, Dora Panteli, was interviewed by “Sport24” along with prominent professionals regarding violence in sport and sexist stereotypes. Ms. Panteli shared her valuable views on the subject from her experience as a former basketball player, and current psychologist, sports journalist and basketball analyst. “Sports violence is a social phenomenon with racist and sexist characteristics. It is directly related to a country’s culture, and education.  It results from each individuals’ social, political, educational, and economic background. Unfortunately, even though Greece has developed due to sports among other factors, we haven’t succeeded yet in distilling to younger generations a healthy mentality regarding the behavior of a sports fan.” Ms. Panteli noted.
