Last week was an exciting one for our elementary students, who had the opportunity to participate in two fun and active sporting events that showcased their energy, enthusiasm, and growing athletic skills.
At ACS Athens, we proudly hosted a Mini Track & Field Tournament in collaboration with Campion School. Our young athletes from Grades 3–5 participated in a variety of events, including sprints, jumping events and vortex. Despite the cloudy weather, it was a fantastic morning filled with movement, teamwork, and cheering from the sidelines. The event provided a supportive and friendly atmosphere where students from both schools could challenge themselves and celebrate each other’s efforts. For many, this was their first experience in a track and field setting, and they embraced it with excitement and sportsmanship.
Meanwhile, on Friday, our Grades 3–5 students traveled to St. Catherine’s British School for a Mini-Soccer Tournament. Representing ACS Athens with pride, our boys and girls’ teams competed in a series of friendly matches. It was a joy to see so many of our students actively engaged, supporting one another, and enjoying the spirit of the game. The tournament was a fantastic opportunity for them to apply what they’ve learned during our after-school activities in a real game setting.
These events are a wonderful reflection of our commitment to developing a love of movement and sport from an early age. We look forward to many more opportunities for our elementary students to grow, play, and thrive through athletics!
