The ACS Athens Middle School and High School Swimming teams participated in the OMAN Invitational Virtual Swim team that took place over a two month (February - March) "window".

A total of 22 international schools participated from different countries, including South Korea, Egypt, Kenya, Japan, Budapest, Germany, Russia, Jordan, Israel and more.  Each school swam their events in their own pool or in a local competition in their country and the results were sent to Oman for a final results tally.  

Our school finished in 13th place with a number of outstanding performances; specifically:

  • Nefeli Venetsanou:

    1st in 100m Backstroke, 400m Freestyle, 100m Butterfly, 200 IM, 2nd in 100m Freestyle and 3rd in 200 Freestyle

  • Angelos Kollilekas: 

    1st in 100m Backstroke, 400m Freestyle, 200m Freestyle

  • Evan Paneras:

    1st in 100 IM, 50m Butterfly, 2nd in 200 IM and 100m Butterfly

  • Phaedra McDonald:

    1st in 50m Butterfly, 2nd in 100m IM, 6th in 100m Breaststroke

  • Alexandros Maheras:

    2nd in 400m Freestyle, 4th in 100m Freestyle & 200m Freestyle

  • Amarylis Antonopoulou:

    2nd in 200 IM, 3rd in 100m IM and 5th in 100m Backstroke

  • Fransesca Kouroupos:

    4th in 100m Breaststroke

  • High School Boys 200m Medley Relay:

    1st place
