The fall sports season for the ACS Athens cross country teams started strong with the participation in two races supporting two great causes. For another year, ACS Athens had a strong presence in the Greece Race for the Cure, a race that supports the fight against breast cancer. The middle school team participated in the 2k race and the high school team in the 5k, adding to the enthusiasm of the great atmosphere that existed in the event, with the attendance of more than 37,000 people!

On October 6th, the cross country teams were present in the Platon Run, a wonderful race that is in its second year of existence and supports the “Ark of the World”, an organization for children in need. The teams brought some great results in the 2k and 5k races (middle school & high school respectively), and gained running experience that is needed for the upcoming races of the cross country season. Congratulations to all athletes and coaches for their participation and commitment in these two races, as they prepare for their next event that will take place on Friday, October 15th at Syngrou Park.
