Skampavia, Lydia, Assistant to the IB/AP Director and AP Program Coordinator
Lydia Skampavia is a proud alumna of ACS Athens (Class of 1993) who has transformed her lifelong connection to her school into a mission-driven career rooted in community, mentorship, and impact. She strongly believes in the Art of Giving Back, a philosophy that guides both her professional path and personal values.
She holds a Master’s Degree in International Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Management, with concentrations in Marketing and Human Resources, from Webster University in Geneva, Switzerland, along with a Certificate in Marketing. She also earned a Professional Diploma in Maritime Business (Chartering specialization) from the Hellenic Management Center. During her Academy years at ACS Athens, she was an IB and AP student, and member of the National Honor Society.
With more than 20 years of international experience across banking, shipping, consulting, retail, services, and education, Lydia brings a global and multidisciplinary perspective to her work. Her commitment to service began early and continues through her long-standing involvement with the Orthodox Philanthropic Foundation in Geneva since 1993.
In 2020, inspired by her daughter and a rapidly evolving world, Lydia transitioned into education, joining ACS Athens as a Substitute Teacher across all divisions. She engaged students in a wide range of subjects, from Social Studies and Art to IB Economics and Literature, fostering curiosity and connection in every classroom.
She later served as Citizenship Coordinator & Alumni Officer and Alumni Engagement & Development Officer (2023–2025). From September 2025 until August 2026, she was Alumni Outreach Coordinator, where she led initiatives that strengthened bonds across generations of ACS Athens graduates. Lydia has also played a key role in organizing major institutional events, including ACS Athens Galas, alumni reunions, Career Day, Alumni Insights Sessions and development initiatives.
A passionate mentor, Lydia works closely with Academy students and guides the ACS Athens Global Alumni Student Team, young volunteers who actively support alumni relations and school initiatives. She is dedicated to empowering students and alumni alike to engage, connect, and contribute meaningfully to their community.
Deeply inspired by art, history, and language, Lydia believes that a holistic education shapes conscious, compassionate individuals and future leaders. Through her work, she continues to build bridges between past, present, and future, cultivating a vibrant global network grounded in purpose, connection, and giving back.
