Pi Day 2010 (13)
Pi Day takes place around the world on March 14 to celebrate one of the most fascinating numbers in mathematics: pi. In Middle School, we have a variety of activities to enhance students’ understanding of this number. Students work in pairs and in groups on activities that allow them to learn more about pi, its meaning, and its history. -
Math Olympiad (11)
The goals of this program are to: stimulate enthusiasm and a love for mathematics, introduce important mathematical concepts, teach major strategies for problem solving, develop Mathematical flexibility in solving problems, strengthen Mathematical intuition, foster Mathematical creativity and ingenuity, and provide for the satisfaction, joy, and thrill of meeting challenges. There are more than 5,000 teams worldwide, including all 50 states and 25 countries.
