Faculty Recruitment Program for Americans of Greek Descent

This is a unique opportunity for a teacher to teach where teaching began!

The American Community Schools of Athens (ACS Athens), the best American international educational institution in Greece and one of the most innovative in the world, has initiated a recruitment program seeking to attract and employ enthusiastic and qualified American faculty of all disciplines, preferably of Greek descent (knowledge of Greek culture and Greek language is a distinct advantage) to teach at our school (Elementary, Middle, High School), starting from the academic year 2013-14. For the purpose of this program, ACS Athens is reaching out to ethnic Greek organizations in the U.S., professional associations, teacher organizations, community institutions and ethnic media to pass this message along.

Why Greek descent?

American faculty with Greek roots have a special relationship with the country ACS Athens is established in. As all ethnic groups who live and prosper in the U.S., Americans of Greek descent are willing to take advantage of any opportunity to connect with their ancestral and cultural roots. Their understanding of the particular educational, cultural, social and community environment in Greece tends to be deeper and more meaningful, practical and beneficial to an educational institution such as ACS Athens.
