It is with pride that I announce the official IB results for the May examination session. 15.15% of our diploma students scored above 40. The highest grade was 42.
The average IB score for those who passed their diploma was 33. From the 36 diploma students 3 were atypical students and are not considered in the statistics while only 2 students did not receive their diploma. All of the above statistics are subject to change as 5 of our students have requested re-marking for some of their IB exams.
Our school allows many non- diploma students to register as IB certificate students in order to obtain the ACS High School Diploma. This makes the evaluation of the results for each subject with respect to the world average, important in accessing the performance of the IB Diploma program at ACS Athens.

Students were able to learn English through interactive activities, wall climbing, miniature golf and many more fun skills and activities--all right here on the ACS Athens campus.

This year's Summer Leadership Institute of ACS Athens is well under way in Virginia's University of Richmond - Jepson School of Leadership Studies. 12 students accompanied by the Director of the Institute Steven Medeiros and faculty member Eli Pupovac will attend classes on leadership taught by University professors, experience college life and visit landmarks in Richmond and the U.S. Capital.
Leadership Institute group visiting Thomas Jefferson's historic home, MonticelloAfter a long day of travel to the United States last Saturday, June 26, the ACS Athens Summer Leadership Institute team hit the road visiting historic monuments of founding father and great U.S. leader Thomas Jefferson. First stop for the class was his historic home, which he designed, Monticello.
Next on this tour was a visit to one Jefferson's proudest achievements, the public University of Virginia. Throughout this excursion students examined the life and legacy of a leader who truly served in the interests of the people and the United States republic.

The ICCT and the Arts Center at ACS Athens are pleased to host a concert by international concert and recording artist DAVID GLEN HATCH and ten award-winning young American pianists as part of our mission to promote the work of American artists in Greece.
The event will be held on Tuesday, June 29th, at 9:00 PM in the Arts Center theater on the campus of ACS Athens. (Garritou 53, Ano Halandri, metro: Halandri).

On June 25th & 26th, the Institute for Critical and Creative Thinking and the Arts Center at ACS Athens invite you to celebrate mathematical thinking at the Athens Math Festival 2010.
For the fourth consecutive year, the group Thales and Friends presents a two-day festival in celebration of mathematics for school mathematics/reading groups. The Mathematics Festival 2010 will be held in both Athens and Thessaloniki. The event aims to provide the opportunity for different school reading groups in Greece to meet, exchange ideas and present work done during the school year in their reading groups. There will be games, competitions and activities for all age groups. The Athens Math Festival will be held in the Arts Center at ACS Athens. Presentations and talks are open to the public.
