Lamprou, Ioanna, Faculty, 2nd Grade

Ms. Lamprou holds a B.A. in elementary and special education from Holy Family University in Philadelphia, PA, and a Master's in Information Systems and Technology from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa. She received her certification from the state of Pennsylvania. She has worked in schools, information systems, and in the advertising field.

Ms.Lamprou has been teaching in various settings and grade levels since 1998. She has been working at ACS Athens since 2010 in first grade and is now excited to be teaching second grade. Throughout her career, Ms.Lamprou has participated in various professional development training programs and seminars, including the ACS Athens annual conference on Learning Differences and Innovative Summit and the 2012 ECIS conference. Ms.Lamprou participated in the 2016 ACS Athens Colloquium where she presented the findings of her action research project, along with Ms.Kokkalis and Ms.Ferentinos on strategies of conceptual and constructive teaching of number sense for Early Childhood. She completed Conceptual Math training by Erma Anderson, organized by ACS Athens; and an online Conceptual Math course in the same area provided by Stanford University. She attended the NESA conference in Athens, Greece focusing on the NGSS component of the conference and completed the Science training that ACS Athens provided for the Elementary School faculty.

Ms. Lamprou was born in Connecticut, raised in Athens, Greece, and shared part of her adulthood between the United States, England, and Greece.
