ACS Athens voluntary blood drive

ACS Athens voluntary blood drive On Wednesday, October 18, 2017 ACS Athens, in collaboration with Agios Savvas Hospital, will set up a voluntary blood drive in the ACS Athens gymnasium between 12:00 pm and 16:00 pm.

By donating blood, our ACS Athens Community will have safe access to a blood bank, which will cover our needs should they arise. Your contribution is important. Individuals in good health, from 18 to 65 years old, are eligible to donate blood.

If you are willing to donate, please take into consideration the following recommendations:

  • Weigh at least 110 pounds (50 kg)
  • Eat a light breakfast 3-4 hours prior the blood drive
  • Have a good night's sleep (at least 6 hours)
  • You should not have viruses or any symptoms
  • You should not show signs of allergies
  • You mustn't be taking medication
  • You cannot give blood if you have a tattoo done within 4 months
  • You cannot give blood if you have a history of Hepatitis
  • You cannot give blood if you have a history of AIDS or drug addiction

If you are interested, please inform Ms. Athina Gargali at or 210 6070217 by Monday, October 16, who in turn will inform Agios Savvas Hospital.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to participate in this important initiative.
