ACS Athens Accreditation News

ACS Athens Becomes the First International School to be Accredited by Top Level Accreditation Standard

We are pleased to announce that The Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools of The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) has reviewed and officially accredited ACS Athens until 2022 under the Sustaining Excellence Protocol, making it the first international school to receive such accreditation.

The Sustaining Excellence Protocol provides an accreditation option for schools that can demonstrate:

  1. Their ability, over time, in producing the levels of student performance that are desired and expected by their community of stakeholders; and,
  2. Are recognized as “leading schools”.  Leading schools are defined as “those schools that are achieving high levels of student performance, have an excellent understanding of the necessary antecedents for those results, and are likely to continue achieving those high results over time”.
