The "Spirit of Giving" charity drive has been an on-going ACS service project since 1999 that has helped many needy families and organizations.</p>
<p>This winter, donations went to:</p>

<li>Hellenic Ministries Refugee &amp; Homeless shelter</li>
<li>Somalian Refugees</li>
<li>Lyreion Orphanage</li>
<li>Hatzipaterion School for Special Needs Children</li>
<li>Multicultural Day Care School for Immigrant and Refugee Children</li>
<li>Pamakaristos School for Special Needs Children</li>
</ul>

Even teenagers in high school are stressed out about juggling school, family and personal time. Let's face it, we are all so preoccupied with our own problems that we sometimes forget one of the most rewarding aspects of life ... helping each other."<br /> <br /> With these words, ACS Athens 10th Grade student Eleni Polychronidou opens an article about "Becoming a Better Person," in the latest newsletter of the Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit NGO whose activities benefit the wider Athens community through volunteer service work by different individuals, schools and orgnanizations.
