High School Swimming wins lots of medals at SCIS championships!

The High School Swimmers participated in the SCIS Swimming Championships in Munich, this past week-end and it was a great event for all our swimmers!  For the first time ever, the ACS Swimming team brought back a total of 16 medals!


Nine silver medals, 6 bronze medals and three trophies were an amazing feat! 

All our swimmers broke their own personal records while some broke our school event records.  Silver medals were earned  by Danae Panagopoulou, Konstantina Chatzi, Sifis Xiradakis, Ioanna Rigas, George Nikolakoudis and the bronze medals were earned by George Kollilekas, Irene Tzelalis, Ioanna Rigas and Sifis Xiradakis.

Exceptional performances by Ioanna Rigas (5 medals in total), George Nikolakoudis and Sifis Xiradakis(4 medals each). 
The Boys team finished 2nd  and the girls team finished 3rd.  Our school earned the Sportsmanship Award (voted by coaches and other schools' athletes).
