Dear ACS Parents,
A heart felt welcome to all of our new and returning ACS Families. Many and diverse learning experiences will take place for our students this year. Our goal is to continue to challenge our students intellectually, cultivate them socially, and guide them toward independent thinking and problem solving. As we strive to promote healthy development in all aspects of each student’s life, we also strive to develop a student body of good character; students who make good choices and decisions resulting in successful and healthy outcomes. We encourage students to demonstrate the best of themselves every moment of every day and to make positive contributions to the groups and organizations to which they belong. We strive to instill within our student body a sense of personal pride as well as collective pride and love for our school. The commitment our students show to their education is evident every time one walks into a classroom. Our students are living the pillars for success.
The challenge, cultivation and success of our students would not be possible without the hard work, dedication and commitment of our beloved Faculty. It is with pleasure that I welcome all of them back and wish them a very productive and successful year. A special welcome is extended to our new Faculty members: Heike Arnold(German), Evangelos Athanasopoulos(Computer Science, Business Economics), Dionysia Balaskas(English), Andreas Boukas (Math, Physics), Margarita Gournaris (Social Studies, Psychology & Sociology), Jakob House (Social Studies, English), Sevasti Koniossis (English), Elina Prodromidi (Biology, Environmental Systems), Nikolaos Romanos(Chemistry), Lambrini Rondogiannis (English), April Wanex (English) and Alexia Marinides (Optimal Learning Specialist). Our dedicated, well qualified and enthusiastic Faculty strive to provide our students with high quality learning and teaching experiences in an inspirational learning environment.
As we move forth, we hope that you will help ACS Athens continue with its rich tradition of academic excellence for all to follow. Our exceptional Faculty and Staff are looking forward to working with all of our students in establishing and achieving their goals of success. We are confident we can build on our recent successes and look forward to our continued partnership with you, the parents, stakeholders and the community as we aim to prepare our young people to be leading citizens of tomorrow.
