Guide to Admissions

ACS Athens welcomes applications for admissions throughout the year. Please ensure that all of the following Admissions Procedures have been observed before you submit your child's application to the Admissions Office.

  • Submission of ACS Athens Application for Admission - Apply Online or Printed Form (IMPORTANT: Printed Form must be downloaded and opened with Adobe Acrobat, not through the browser).
  • All report cards/transcripts - submitted in a sealed envelope (for high school, from grade 9 to current grade) - if not in English, transcripts must be officially translated
  • Alternative Special Education Services Formonly if there is no prior school - usually for grades Jr.K or Kindergarten (filled out by Parent / Legal Guardian)
  • Medical forms (may be submitted within one month of acceptance)
  • Copies of passport and/or other official documents verifying citizenship and birthdates.
  • Confidential Records (if any)


The Application Process at a glance

Step 1:
Read all instructions below carefully - For any questions, please contact the Admissions Office.

Step 2:
Submit an Application Form for each applicant student with corresponding documents (see here). A €60 non-refundable application fee must be paid upon submission.

Step 3:
Arrange for Admissions Testing (Grades 5-12) or interview (Grades JK-4) - through the Admissions Office.

Step 4:
If student passes the testing, submit remaining documentation required by the Application

Step 5:
Complete Application file is reviewed by the Admissions Committee. All responses (positive or negative) are communicated with the families through email.

Step 6:
Placement testing is arranged (Grades 6-12) if deemed necessary by the Counseling Office. Its results will determine course scheduling and placement.
